    • HOMA-IR (a measure of insulin resistance): Improved by 59%, from 20.2 to 8.24.
  3. Healthier Fat Cells:
    While chia seeds didn’t reduce total fat levels, they improved the health of fat cells by preventing harmful enlargement.

The study was conducted on 32 mice prone to accelerated aging, divided into four groups:

  • Low-fat diet (control group)
  • High-fat diet
  • High-fat diet with chia seeds (10% of diet)
  • Low-fat diet with chia seeds

Over 18 weeks, researchers monitored changes in fat composition, cellular markers, and insulin sensitivity using tools like MRI and molecular analysis.
