They wanted clear answers on strength, stability and body composition.

Fifty-four healthy male amateur golfers took part.

Ages ranged from 18 to 70.

They were randomly split into two equal groups of 27.

One group received supervised whole-body electromyostimulation once a week.

Each session lasted just 20 minutes.

The other group kept their normal routine.

After 16 weeks the results stood out.

Maximum trunk strength rose clearly in the EMS group.

 

 

The gain was 10.7 units while the control group lost a little.

The difference reached high statistical strength.

Leg and hip strength also improved.

 

 

The EMS group added 261 units of force.

The control group managed only 57.

Again the gap was solid and meaningful.

 

 

Lean body mass moved in the right direction too.

EMS users gained a modest amount of muscle.

The control group lost some.

The difference between groups was significant.

Attendance stayed near perfect.

No one reported serious problems from the sessions.

These gains matter for golf.
